Fat Microbes?

Stumbled upon a really interesting article at http://www.discover.com/web-exclusives/fat-bacteria0505/

The jist of it?

"An expanding waistline may have less to with what a person eats than what’s already inside, report microbiologists Jeffrey Gordon and Fredrik Backhed at the Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis. Variations in the population of bacteria living in the gut may explain why some people pack on extra pounds while others stay slim."

Ahh! what a find! It's great to know that those hard to lose inches are caused by pesky microbes! No wonder all that jogging didn't work :P
